Walter Reed was the site of multiple projects for Ellisdale. The 14M and 14S buildings have been renovated and are now fully complete. They are now home to senior citizens and US veterans. The result of our hard work is 157 affordable apartment units between the two projects, totaling in almost $19.6 million. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the 14S building was held on site in October 2019 with HELP USA CEO Tom Hameline, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and Ward 4 Councilmen Brandon Todd. The newly renovated affordable development provides permanent, supportive housing for previously homeless US veterans. The building is uniquely designed to serve the needs of the veterans, featuring 77 studio apartments, office space for medical staff, counselors and case managers, a cafeteria, a gym, and a newly landscaped.  Walter Reed Abrams Hall 14S was named the Best Large Affordable Housing Project in 2020 by the HAND Housing Organization.
